I'm on a boat!

So with winter fast approaching we decided to hit up Lake Powell for a quick boating adventure. We weren't too concerned about it being too cold because we just spent the last six months in Alaska where it is cold as shit. That being said, I promised myself I wouldn't get in the water until it was at least 60 degrees outside (strictly to avoid hypothermia).

If you have never been to Lake Powell you should probably visit at some point. Its pretty awesome. Just imagine the grand canyon, but filled up with water.

It isn't all fun and games there though as many believe. The list of dangers and minor inconveniences definitely increased as we journeyed further into the desert. For example:

The desert is where scorpions live.

Also, if you thought you were moderately safe out on the water because scorpions are land dwelling creatures... think again. That's right folks, we're talking about water scorpions.

If you want firewood, too bad. Unless you are willing to carry it long distances "little-Indian-man style" like Jason Moffat.

I heard rumors of extreme liberals who are thinking about blowing up the Glen Canyon Dam. Kinda crazy? Yes, and I don't think I should need to explain why, but let me just say that I know for a fact that at least 1/2 of the hobo drifters have at one point in their lives taken a treading water dump. Think about that.

Also I feel like I should mention sand. Cause its pretty annoying.

Anyways Lake Powell was fun and I think the rest of the story can be told via the following video.

Oh and I would like to thank the Beave for hanging out with us and taking the boat (and Jason)back to civilization. Sorry about the soggy cinnamon rolls dude.
